Description

A Cobb salad is a hearty and visually appealing salad that’s packed with flavor and protein. It’s a classic American dish, typically made with mixed greens, grilled or roasted chicken, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, avocado, tomatoes, blue cheese, and a creamy or vinaigrette dressing.


Ingredients

  • Mixed greens (romaine, spinach, arugula)
  • Grilled or roasted chicken, diced  
  • Cooked bacon, crumbled  
  • Hard-boiled eggs, chopped  
  • Avocado, diced  
  • Tomatoes, chopped  
  • Blue cheese crumbles  
  • Optional: Red onion, chopped

For the dressing:

  • Mayonnaise
  • Sour cream
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Dijon mustard
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Prepare the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  • Assemble the salad: Arrange the mixed greens on a large plate or in a bowl. Top with diced chicken, crumbled bacon, chopped eggs, avocado, tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles, and optional red onion.  
  • Drizzle and serve: Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the ingredients to your liking. Some variations include adding grilled shrimp, steak, or even tofu.
  • You can use a store-bought dressing or make your own.
